10 Fun Facts about me
1.
I am an Enneagram 5w6, 1-1 Subtype. When I first encountered the Enneagram, I thought I was a Type 2. Imagine my initial shock to learn that I am a 5! It turns out that my ability to 'read' others well* comes from a treasure trove of observations and knowledge I've collected.
*Distinctions between type motivations- Finding safety in knowledge and analysis (5) rather than the need to be needed (2)
2.
Proud Pioneer! I claim the title of graduate #001 in 2019 as the very first graduate of The Enneagram Academy, the largest IEA Accredited School in Southeast Asia.
3.
Since 2022, I have accumulated more than 900 hours (and counting!) of coaching experience. I've had the pleasure of coaching and learning from remarkable individuals from diverse backgrounds -- students, C-suite executives, Pastoral staff, Creatives, Educators, Healthcare Professionals, Entrepreneurs, Business Owners, Influencers, Financial and Estate services practitioners, Beauty Pageant/Manhunt contestants (and Winners!), Homemakers, Retirees etc— each bringing their unique stories and experiences to our sessions.
4.
My oldest Coachee to date is 80 years old and she inspires me to always stay humble and that learning is a life-long journey that never stops. Mastery is a process, not a destination.
5.
Before becoming a coach, I served in both the Singapore Civil and Public Service under the social services sector. I am also an avid volunteer with a special affection for supporting isolated seniors; it helps that I speak Hokkien and Cantonese!
6.
My passion for fixing things was evident since childhood! I created a mock advice column at age 10 and made my cousin and friends write me pretend-problems to solve! I named my column "Everything OK".

My favourite 'me-time' activity is doing puzzles, crafting origami, and coloring while listening to Baroque music.
9.
I'm an Empath*, which may make me feel like it's a burden at times but I believe this trait has served me well in my coaching journey. My natural introversion and sensitivity help me create a safe space for genuine, heart-to-heart conversations—where vulnerability meets understanding.
*An Empath or Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) is someone who has a heightened sensitivity to sensory stimuli and emotional experiences, often processing information and feelings more deeply than others.
10.
I am a Singaporean based in the land of "Fragrant Harbour" (Hong Kong) with my imperfect but exemplary husband and 2 lovely daughters. Someday, my 3rd baby will be a boy (DOG)! He shall be a Bichon Frise (a dog breed) with Afro hairstyle. The perks of living in Hong Kong, to me, includes receiving next-day Taobao deliveries and enjoying cool weather for half of the year.
